George Clooney, Julia Roberts-Ticket to Paradise (2022)

Ticket to Paradise, the next film starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts, will be released on September 30, 2022, by Universal Pictures.

On the theatrical release schedule, Uni had already set a date for an event feature. Ticket to Paradise will be released the weekend after Universal/DreamWorks Animation’s Puss in Boots: The Last Wish sequel on September 23, and before an unnamed Disney/Marvel film on October 7 and Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel on October 14. (seriously, in regards to the last two movies, one of them will budge).

Clooney and Roberts are returning on-screen after Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Twelve, and Money Monster, according to Deadline. Clooney’s feature directorial debut, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, featured Roberts as well. In Ticket to Paradise, the two actors play exes on a quest to prevent their lovestruck daughter from making the same mistake they did.

The film will be shot on location in Queensland, Australia, thanks to incentives provided by the Australian federal government and Screen Queensland’s Production Attraction Strategy. The producing firms include Working Title, Clooney’s Smokehouse Pictures, and Roberts’ Red Om Films. The script was written by Daniel Pipski. Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, Sarah Harvey and Deborah Balderstone; Smokehouse’s Clooney and Grant Heslov; and Red Om’s Roberts and Lisa Roberts Gillan and Marisa Yeres Gill are the producers.
