House of the Dragon (TV Series 2022) Release Date, Cast, Trailer and All Details
House of the Dragon is an upcoming HBO fantasy drama series created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan J. Condal. It is a precursor to the 2011–2019 television series Game of Thrones, and it is based on Martin’s 2018 novel Fire & Blood. The series takes place two hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones and chronicles the beginning of House Targaryen’s demise, the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war, known as the “Dance of the Dragons,” and the war itself. House of the Dragon was ordered straight to series in October 2019, with casting to begin in July 2020 and main photography to begin in April 2021 in the United Kingdom. The first season of the series, which will consist of ten episodes, is set to launch in 2022.

Filming
The ten-episode first season of the series began principal photography in April 2021. The majority of the series is shot in the United Kingdom. Filming took place in Cornwall, England, during the last week of April 2021. Parts of the first season will also be shot in Spain and California, according to Production List. House of the Dragon was the first film to be shot at Warner Bros.’ new virtual production stage at Leavesden Studio. Production was halted for two days on July 18, 2021, due to a positive COVID-19 case.
According to the Spanish daily Hoy, House of the Dragon will be shot in the western Spanish province of Cáceres between October 11 and 21, 2021. The series was shot at Monsanto Castle in Portugal from October 26 to October 31.
House of the Dragon (TV Series 2022– ) Release
House of the Dragon is set to premiere in 2022. Sky’s SoHo TV station and the Neon streaming service will distribute the series in New Zealand. A teaser trailer was published on October 5, 2021.
